As the song says, “The heart of rock and roll is still beating.” It sure is in our new production of THAT’S WHAT I CALL ROCK ‘N ROLL! Conceived, written and directed by Ed Flesch, our guests so far have declared it out best band show yet. Showcasing rock and roll music from the 50’s through the 80’s, there is definitely something for everyone in this show.
What’s so great about it? Everything! Steve Watts, who kicks the show off with his instant electricity. The band, who can play anything we throw at them like they’ve done it a hundred times and they always sound amazing. The eight singers, coached by Musical Director Mary Ehlinger and choreographed by Doug Reed, who are clearly among the best singers we’ve ever heard on our stage. Host Andy Kindig, who holds the whole show together and is both hysterically funny at times and the embodiment of a music trivia encyclopedia at others.
The set by Rick Rasmussen and lighting by Jason Fassl give the room a rock concert atmosphere and the costumes by Alexandra Schaller give a spot on cultural re-play of looks from the 50’s through the 80’s. The back stage crew definitely have their hands full with this non-stop, action-packed, song-after-song revue! Dates are continuing to fill so don’t delay. This is a must-see for anyone who likes rock ‘n roll. We promised you “an unforgettable night of rock and roll” and that’s exactly what it is!
