The Fireside auditions and hires professional singers, dancers and actors from all over the United States. Many come with Broadway and National Tour experience. All of them come with great talent and a passion for their craft.


Alan Ball (Tevye) Alan’s 42-year career as an actor, singer, and occasional art photographer spans 200 productions in 50 states and 30 countries around the world, including eleven seasons as an Artistic Associate of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. He is profoundly grateful to his wife, Joan, for her love, to his parents for their example, Ed for his trust, and his rabbi, Harold Kushner, of blessed memory, for teaching him what it means to be a Jew. Brian B. Elliott (Rabbi, Avram) is overjoyed to be in his twelfth show in time for his tenth anniversary at The Fireside!
