The Fireside Kitchen is seeking candidates for our open Line Cook position!

Duties include:

inspects, portions, arranges and garnishes food for guests all while ensuring safe, sanitary food handling practices
responsible for regulating temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
ability to learn line cooking stations which includes broiler set-up, plating of the broiler food, middle set-up and plating of the food made in the middle

We are considering part-time and full-time applicants who are available to work shifts/hours Wednesday through Sunday.

The Fireside Restaurant is looking for energetic people with sparkling personalities to join our Guest Service Team!

As a Guest Service Staff Member, you will provide a positive first impression to The Fireside’s excellent service and high standards. Guest Service Staff greet our guests upon arrival, show guests to their table, and assist our servers with guest needs/requests as needed.

Candidates are regularly required to walk throughout the restaurant, go up and down stairs and assist in the carrying/pushing/pulling of items weighing up to 50 pounds.

This position currently has shifts available:

Thursday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. & 4:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Sunday: 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Emily (Theatre) Each member of the theatre crew has their own unique “track.” Tracks are the various duties for the show divided up among the backstage team. Track assignments change from production to production. For THE LITTLE MERMAID, Emily was assigned to spotlight. But Emily is also skilled with quick costume changes, so when another crew member, whose primary duties were quick changes, was scheduled for vacation, Emily learned and ran that track with great success. Fast forward a few weeks and another crew member needed a day off. Due to some last-minute changes with the crew sub we had planned, Emily was pulled from spotlight to train on yet another backstage track. That was a Thursday. The very next day, due to a sudden schedule change during OKLAHOMA! rehearsals, the Wardrobe Supervisor was needed for wig fittings, so Emily was again pulled from spotlight on short notice to run that first track she had learned many weeks earlier. Then on Saturday, she shifted gears to run the track she had just learned on Thursday! We are thankful for Emily’s ability to pivot and appreciate her pleasant “can-do” attitude. We’re pleased to honor her hard work by naming her Associate of the Show!

Dawn (Guest Services) We’re also happy to recognize Dawn Adler as Associate of the Show for THE LITTLE MERMAID. We had a larger than expected attrition rate of college students returning to their studies and at times it was difficult to make a schedule that would provide the best service possible for our guests. Countless times, Dawn answered the call to fill in a gap and work the front desk for us. She effortlessly kept our operations flowing smoothly while providing fantastic service for our guests. It wasn’t always easy for Dawn to jump in to help as there are always family commitments that pull at us. But if Dawn could move something aside to work for a few hours, she made that effort for our cause. The Fireside is more than you would ever expect, and so is Dawn for her selfless dedication to our guests.

Makiah (Kitchen) We were so blessed to have Makiah come back to work in the kitchen this summer. She’s an absolute beast. Her coworkers respect her for her work ethic and her leadership by example. This summer she was also very involved with helping to train new hires. She was kind, patient, and informative. She helped wherever needed under her own motivation without be directed to do so. If the pantry needed help, she went there, if someone needed to be trained on kid’s meals, she trained them. Makiah is a work horse, and she makes the kitchen team stronger when she is here. She was instrumental in the success that we had during The Little Mermaid. She has grown into a leader in the kitchen and is deserving of the Associate of the Show for The Little Mermaid.
