Our brand-new production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF marks the seventh time we have presented this Broadway classic, the first being in 1980. Each of the previous productions was directed by and starred our own Artistic Director, Ed Flesch. This time, Ed is directing a new Tevye and we are extremely fortunate to have them both here to share their talent and experience in this new production.
Alan Ball’s 42-year career as an actor and singer spans 200 productions in 50 states and 30 countries around the world, including eleven seasons as an Artistic Associate of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. He is best known to Fireside audiences for his roles as J. Bruce Ismay in TITANIC, Grandpa in GRUMPY OLD MEN, Alfie Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY, and Bill Austin in MAMMA MIA.
Joining Alan to lead the cast of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as Tevye’s wife, Golde is Sunny Koll. A native Australian, Sunny is thrilled to make her Fireside debut as well as her Musical Theatre debut in America. Aside from her band and recording credits, theatre credits include her one woman show BETWEEN THE BARS and the role of Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE.
