The Fireside auditions and hires professional singers, dancers and actors from all over the United States. Many come with Broadway and National Tour experience. All of them come with great talent and a passion for their craft.
Jonathan Mousset (Jack Kelly) is thrilled to be making his debut at The Fireside. He was last seen playing Usnavi in IN THE HEIGHTS under the direction of original broadway cast member Luis Salgado. Other credits include Jesus (GODSPELL), Ethan (THE FULL MONTY), and Chip Tolentino (25TH…SPELLING BEE). He’s performed in NYC spaces such as 54 Below, The Town Hall, and The New York Times Center. Altamiece Carolyn Cooper (Medda Larkin) is thrilled to make her Fireside debut. After college she landed the role of Mrs. Jefferson/u.s. Joanne in the 2006 National Tour of RENT. She’s since performed on many stages (including Music Theatre Wichita and Maltz Jupiter Theatre). Daniel Stanley (Albert) is extremely honored for this to be his first performance at The Fireside. Daniel is originally from Huntsville, AL and graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Dance Performance degree. He has performed around the world on Holland America Line and in multiple states at regional theatres. Daniel is also an aerial supervisor for RWS Entertainment Group in NYC. Without his friends and family Daniel would not be where he is today!
Maurice Dawkins (Specs) grew up in New York City, which afforded him with many opportunities for training in the performing arts. He attended LaGuardia High School for the Arts, studying Theatre and Ballet, and prides himself as a multi-disciplinary performer. Since graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in 2015, he has danced with a number of New York-based contemporary and ballet companies, and has done three shows at The Fireside so far! NEWSIES will be Maurice’s fourth production, and he can’t wait to seize the day!
Connor Coughlin (Henry, Morris) is a proud graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Professional Division. Connor has toured the country in 42ND STREET (Billy Lawlor) and ELF (Ensemble). Connor is also a substitute teacher at Luigi’s Jazz Centre in NYC. Chasen Greenwood (Finch, Oscar) just finished the west coast premiere of NEWSIES. Dancer, singer, and choreographer, Chasen has been featured in Dancer magazine as “one to watch.” Completing a nationwide tour with State Street Ballet as a soloist, his choreography won as “Best Young Choreographer” and was performed at Regional America Southwest. Chasen began his career performing with Leann Rimes, and in the musicals CASPER (National Tour), training full scholarship with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Austin.
Mateus Barbosa da Silva (Romeo) is originally from Recife (Brazil), and he is a graduate from West Texas A&M University with a BFA in Dance. He was a company member with Lonestar Ballet for two years performing the roles DR JEKYL & MR HYDE (Mr Hyde), and SWAN LAKE (Von Rothbar). Notable credits include TEXAS! The Outdoor Musical Drama (Dancer), THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (Aldolpho), and as a Swing Dancer for Oceania Cruise Lines. He is with Lucille DiCampli Representation.
Dale Elston (Elmer, Scab, Spot Conlon) Recently moving from England this summer, I am honored to be making my debut performance at The Fireside Theatre. Andre Malcolm (Sniper, Scab) is a New York based actor born and raised in Brooklyn. He is an alumna from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where he majored in Dance Theatre. Andre has performed all over NYC and worked with notable theatre choreographers such as Luis Salgado, Karla Garcia, Jennifer Janckuska, and Richard J.Hinds. Doug Reed (Mayor, Nunzio, Policeman, Stage Manager) is a proud Fireside veteran of 30 years and 127 shows. Some favorite roles include Gideon in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, Andy Lee in 42ND STREET, Cosmo in SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, Tommy Djilas in THE MUSIC MAN, Paul in KISS ME KATE, Zebulan in all three productions of JOSEPH, and Wes Warnicker in FOOTLOOSE.
